Long before the appearance of the dinosaurs,
reptiles returned to the sea and became highly adapted organisms; such
as the ichthyosaurs, which inhabited the oceans of the triassic. these
organisms breathed air and were designed for marine life, very much like
modern day porpoises. These organisms reached up to 30 feet in length and
they ruled the oceans of their time.
