Mosasaurs were late comers of the cretaceous.
These reptiles adapted to life in the ocean when the Ichthyosaurs were
already on their way to extinction. Mososaurs are related to modern snakes
and they moved very much in the same way, with a sinous motion. These organisms
fed on fish, squid, and other Mosasaurs. Mosasaurs gave birth to live young;
like ichthyosaurs, and they reached lengths of 30 to 40 feet.
