Plesiosaurs
Plesiosaurs are an extinct group of large aquatic reptiles that lived at the same time as dinosaurs, during the Triassic through Cretaceous periods, from 235 million to 66 million years ago.
Plesiosaurs had sharp, jagged teeth that were set in sockets
at the edge of the jawbone. They had large eyes located on the sides of
their heads. Movement was by using four paddle-shaped flippers, possibly
in an up-down, wing-like motion, similar to how penguins of today move.
plesiosaurs flew through the water.
