| In 1981 two scientists, Mott and Farley-Gill, conducted research on Pink Lake by collecting sediment cores. The sediment cores were 320cm in lenght. They divided these cores into 9 pollen zones, where 9 being the oldest at 10,700 years before present, and 1 the youngest dated at the time the sediment cores were taken. This information tells us the history of the lake from when it was isolated from the Champlain sea up until the recent. |
