Transport to Museum

The jacketed blocks are then stacked snuggly into trucks and transported to either railways, ships or planes where they are then taken to the museum for temporary or permanent storage until they are readied for laboratory preparation. Or they are sent directly to a technical laboratory, called the preparation laboratory so that the bones can be removed from the remaining rock and repairs can be made on the fossils (Farlow et al, 1997).
