Welcome, We hope that you will learn alot about the diversity of geological treasures that California has to offer. This trip was organized by Dr. Tim Patterson, Ph.D, for the 67.487/67.587 4th Year Field Studies courses at Carleton University and took place between August 24 - September 10, 2000.

The students involved did a lot of work to create the content on this site - some of which is research based and some of which is anecdotal and personal experiences. As a result, this website has been organized to help you find that content quicly and easily. It is split into four sections:

REGIONS will allow you to choose from the various parts of California the students analysed complete with geological information, analysis and pictures.

LOGS will allow you to view roadlogs written by the students during their trip and are organized chronologicaly from top to bottom by day.

MAPS contains a site map to you navigate the site more quickly as well as a map of California to help give you an overview of where the places you'll read about are located.

Lastly, the @ button will bring you to a page with all of our contact information should you want to contact us for more information about the site or the information contained within it.
