Large Land Mammals of Today

 
The largest land mammals on the earth today are the African and Indian elephants, the biggest of which is the African elephant. The cow of the African elephant can reach a weight of around 4 tons. The bull, on the other hand, can reach a maximum weight of 6 tons and stand over 3.3m (11 ft.) high. The bull of an Indian elephant can reach a weight of 4 tons and stand to a height of 10 ft. high.
