Plants
Defined
First,
let’s define plants as immobile, terrestrial, photosynthetic multicellular
eukaryotes which are generally autotrophs and are derived from algae. Plants and
algae have many morphological similarities but the terrestrial lifestyle of most
plants sets them apart. Living on land presents new challenges in contrast to an
aquatic lifestyle. Plants have to deal with engineering problems due to
different physical conditions and this triggered the evolution of novelties in
the reproduction mode.
