EARLIEST TETRAPOD RECORD

• The first tetrapod fossil remains were found in the Frasnian stage of the Upper Devonian.
• The only abundant skeletal remains were found in the 1930's in the Famennian red beds of East Greenland (Jarvik 1980)
• These remains were skulls and postcranial material of three genera
• Ichthyostegopsis - Skulls
