The Evolution of Man

How our species has come to rule the earth has always puzzled people. The
Descent of Man was published in the late 1800's by Charles Darwin (above
picture). Evidence that showed the link between humans and apes was just
emerging. A "question mark" has always been planted when considering
the link between humans (hominids) and apes. Other vertebrate groups have
more fossil documentation, thus it is not suprising that there has been
and continues to be, controversyover the orgin of humans. (from Earth Magazine)
