This diagram represents the development of the Lesser Antilles, north and south. Note that the periods tend to migrate from activity in the north to activity in the south and back again, with some over lapping zones. As indicated by this diagram, the eruption of tuffs and pyroclastic rocks (green) has ceased in the Southern Antilles for now. An example of active deposition of tuffs and pyroclastic rocks in the Northern Antilles is the island of Montserrat.
