A Satellite Image of Martinique
This image shows the island of Martinique situated so that the north end is pointed to the left. The image clearly shows both mountain ranges, Mont Pelee at the north end and Mont Carbet just south of it. The centre of the island is made up of hills and valleys, called the Lamentin Plain, which gradually descends to Salines Beach, the southern most tip of the island.
