Velociraptors were carnivores that preyed upon herbivorous dinosaurs. In August 1971 a Polish-Mongolian expedition made a groundbreaking discovery of a Velociraptor and Protoceratops that had died while in combat at Tugrugeen Shireh, 30 miles west of the Flaming Cliffs in Mongolia. |
