Order Redlichiida

Redlichiids were one of the first trilobites found in the Cambrian rocks. They were primitive because segments of the pygidium were not fused together. Redlichiids usually have a large semicircular cephalon. The genial spines and marginal facial suture, large half crescent shaped eyes and numerous thoracic segment (Prothero, 1998).
