POTSDAM GROUP
The Potsdam Group consists of Early Ordovician sandstone and conglomerate which
unconformably overlie the Precambrian basement. The Covey Hill Formation consists of interbedded feldspathic conglomerates and sandstone, while the Nepean Formation is an interbedded quartz sandstone and conglomerate. The inarticulate brachiopod Lingulepis acuminata can be found here.
