Ears and Hearing

• The evidence from the middle and inner ear structures strongly suggests that hadrosaurs were able to hear and that their sense of hearing is closely related to that of the modern crocodile.
• The evidence from the organs of hearing therefore reinforces the suggestion that hadrosuars used their crests to vocalize.
