Constructional Morphology

This method considers three major factors in its analysis of form:
1. The functional element is the action of natural selection in shaping structure for efficient use.
2. The fabricational/architectural element is the developmental pattern and process that produces an individual organism.
3. The phylogenetic element is the evolutionary history of a taxon.
Their relative importance can be factored into the final analysis.
