Wave-cut boulder on ancient reef terrace indicates higher relative paleo sea-levels

A general facies pattern that fits many of the uplifted Pleistocene terraces has been established. In any given terrace, two, and sometimes three facies can be recognized: (1) fore-reef facies; (2) reef facies; and (3) back-reef facies.
