Udotea flabellum

Morphology: 5-10 cm high; flabellum flat, broadly fan-shaped; the single to multiple blade is smooth, firm and may become ribbed and circumferentially zoned with calcium carbonate. Stiff and less flexible than Avrainvillea.

Widely distributed throughout the year; common on shallow, sandy to muddy bottoms. Often found among sea grasses with Penicillus.
