Scatter

Ingestion by predators followed by partial digestion results in associated remains in pellets or scats. These scats or pellets are made up mostly of hair and small mammal bones. Owls will regurgitate these bits where as others may be found in fecal pellets. This form of scatter can spread the remains quite far from the original place of death depending on the predator.
