Disarticulation

Definition:

Disarticulation is when the articulated bone parts of the vertebrate separate into individual pieces. Although the most spectacular vertebrate skeletons are those that are complete and display true bone-to-bone relationships, they are infrequent compared to the large number of disarticulated remains.
