The first Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton was unearthed in 1909 by Barnum Brown of the American Museum of Natural History in the Hell Creek Formation in Montana. Ever since it's discovery, Tyrannosaurus rex has been thought to be the mightiest predator of all the dinosaurs. This theory is easily believed, due to the enormous size of T.rex but another theory has been proposed. This theory argues that T.rex was simply a giant scavenger going from one carcass to the next. There are good arguments for both sides but neither can deny that T.rex was certainly a formidable creature, predator or scavenger.
