LINGULELLA

Lingulella is a thin shelled brachiopod found in the rocks of the Lower Cambrian to the Middle Ordovician in North America. Found in shallow water deposits, it was probably a burrower which lived in an environment where currents and sediment movement were present. During the Ordovician this brachiopod occurred in deeper-water communities.
