Martian "Bacteria"Fossilized Earth Bacteria / Live Bacteria

Notice the similar "ball and stick " morphology of the life bacteria to the fossilized earthly bacteria. The Martian "fossils" also resemble this structure but this is not necessarily proof that these were actually bacteria-like organisms. Even within the last half century, there have been structures which were identified as organic structures and were later proved to be an inorganic structure. Such structures include eozoans which were thought to resemble stromatolites, a bed of algae which entraps sediment and grows by incorperating it into its structure. Some of the actual origins of fossils and pseudofossils, whether they are produced by organic or non-organic processes, are still being debated by the scientific community.
