Death

Extinction. The final fate of the mammoth. After surviving the onset and recession of several glacial periods, or "Ice Ages", why did the mammoth, along with so many other species of megafauna, become extinct at the close of the last glacial period, 10 000 years ago.

There exist today two major schools of thought. Was Climate the cause of the extinction of the mammoth, or did The Hand of Man deal the card of death?
