Judaeo-Christian

The Judaeo-Christian philosophy is one of revelation. They believed in an active Divinity which shaped not only their fate, but also the individual forms of organisms and many of the individual events of life. In the book of Genesis in the Bible, God sets in motion all parts of the universe and its life. The Bible dwells on ethical rules, not natural laws, and teaches that knowledge is not to be sought, but is to be revealed by God. The relationship between form and function is therefore whatever God has made it to be.

God set in motion all parts of the universe.
