El Niño ~ The Recent Effects

In the present 1997-98 occurrence of El Niño, Mexico has experience snow (approximately 40cm) for the first time in decades. There have been forest fires in Indonesia due to drought and flooding in western Canada. Florida has experience numerous tornadoes and Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec have experience what has been named one of the worst natural disasters to have affected Canada; the ice storm which occurred in early January of this year.
