The main prey for Deinonychus, known to date, is that of Tenontosaurus (Farlow et al, 1997). Other small plant eaters would have also been on Deinonychus's menu (Desmond, 1975) as well as insects, lizards, eggs, fruit and carrion (Thulborn, 1990). Other than that the specifics for Deinonychus's diet are unknown.
