The Grenadine Islands are located in southern portion of the Lesser Antilles south of St. Vincent, north of Grenada and west of Barbados, at 12 degrees north and 61 degrees west. There are many islands including the Tobago Cays which are four islands.

Our trip focused on the Tobago Cays which are composed of Petit Rameau, Baradal, Jamesby, and Petit Tabac. The Tobago Cays are located in the southern end of the Grenadines, northeast of Union Island. The four islands of the Tobago Cays are all very close together with just enough room for a tall ship ship to navigate through them. All four islands are very small, and are surrounded by the horeshoe coral reef. They are not populated and are covered in scrub vegetation. This is a popular area for tourists to stop and enjoy the scenery.

The islands themselves have nice sandy beaches which are dotted by palm trees. There is always a nice breeze which is taken advantage of by windsurfers and sailors.
