This figure was modified from Dix et al. (1997) and depicts a generalized lithologic column for eastern Ontario. Lower Paleozoic lithostratigraphy in central and eastern Ontario is shown. Nomenclature for the Ordocvician portion of the section is taken from wilson (1946), Sloss (1963), Liberty (1969), Russell and Telford (1986), Kolata and Noger (1991), Bernstein (1992), and Salad Hersi and Dix (1998). Asterisks refer to terminology used by McFarlane (1992) for the Kingston Region.
