More recently the west coast of Canada was studied in great detail in the Queen Charlotte Sound Area. Foraminiferal studies, sedimentological evidence and radiocarbon dating there showed a Younger Dryas like cooling also occurred in this region about 11,000 to 10,000 years ago.
