GENERAL INFORMATION

The Grand Canyon lies in the northwestern corner of Arizona and covers a distance of 448km. It links Lake Powell in the northeast with Lake Mead in the west. The Colorado River, one of the forces that helped to create the canyon, is the drainage system for the Colorada Plateau, with tributaries coming from Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.
