This species is found in great numbers in both the Cobalt area and Lake Sentani. This species can live just about anywhere within a lake, however it prefers the warmer waters above the thermocline. This arcellacean can vary in its morphology ranging from spiny to spineless. The latter doesn't mean that it's a pushover, though.
