Squid and Octopus

Sepioteuthis sepiodea:

Reef Squid. Total length to 30 cm, including tentacles. Fins extend along the entire length of the mantle. Commonly seen in schools in inshore waters and on reefs; often approaching close to skin divers.

Octopus vulgaris:

Common Octopus. Total length to one meter, including arms, but usually smaller. Inhabits burrows in rocky areas with rubble during the day; forages at night on grass flats. Burrows can often be located by piles of mollusc shells. Inshore and on reefs.
