Padina sanctae-crucis

Species usually 5-10 cm high; blades stalked and attached to substrate with rhizoids, 4-6 cm wide,split, involute, zonate and calcified only on the upper surface.

In moderately exposed areas or below the low tide zone; in ponds, coves; usually attached to rocks or old coral heads. Found throughout the year; most luxuriant growth during summer.
