Avrainvillea longicaulis:

Lightly calcified alga arising from a firm basal mass of rhiziods. Stalk bearing flat, felty blades composed of uncalcified filaments. Distingished from Udotea by it's soft, flexable texture.Widespread in shallow waters, especially Walsingham Pond.
