Dispersal of spores by a bryophyte
Spores

Spores are the means of distribution for seedless plants, which comprise the bryophytes and the vascular plants. Bryophytes consist of mosses, liverworts and hornworts whereas seedless vascular plants consist of lycophytes, horsetails and ferns. The life cycles of bryophytes and seedless vascular plants are compared in the two figures on the next pages.
